A flamenco cantaor who, alongside his brother Pepe, divulged and lent importance to the fandango from Alosno (Huelva), his birthplace.
Paco Toronjo learnt to sing in his town when he was just a boy, listening to adults who were amateurs. Although he did not invent any cante (style), he was able to stamp his personal imprint on the way of singing the different cantes, and was always extremely prolific was it came to creating and improvising lyrics. |
