Paco Mora is a bailaor (flamenco dancer), dancer, choreographer and actor. As a bailaor, he has worked in several companies, ranging from Rafael Aguilar's one to Mario Maya's one, passing through the companies of Luisillo, Yoko Komatsubara and José Antonio.
His dancing has also been seen in the cinema. Leaving aside other films, Paco Mora played Herod in the film "Salomé" (2002), by Carlos Saura. Again under the guidance of the great film director, he has returned to cinema as the protagonist of "Iberia", surrounded by a line-up of artists from the top drawer composed by Sara Baras, Manolo Sanlúcar, Sara Lezana, Estrella Morente and José Antonio Rodríguez.
As a choreographer, he has put together a number of choreographies for different companies, as well as for himself. In "Lorca Baila", which he both wrote and created himself, he brings to life the soul of the great poet from Granada. "Carmen de Bizet", "Flamencura", "Othello" and "Wallada, el sueño de un poeta cordobés" are other works of his in which Paco Mora has displayed his personal imprint.
One cannot forget about his work as a teacher. He is very frequently invited to teach a number of dance courses in countries in the world’s five continents. He is also a figure that is present in the most prestigious festivals. |
