ElBicho
Band
Birth: 2001 Escuela de Música Popular

"What is there to say, if when we play live we say it all" Elbicho.
Guillermo Mc Gill is responsible for Elbicho’s musical training. It was in his Escuela de Música Popular (Popular Music School) that Miguel, the singer, and Víctor, the guitarist, met up, and the other members came afterwards. They cut their teeth in the street, playing concerts in the most traditional streets of Madrid and, without any promotion work, word of mouth did the rest.

After producing several demos, they released their first record in June 2003, produced by Tino di Geraldo and Guillermo Quero. The record features the participation of several musicians, among which flamenco artists such as Eva Durán, Tomasito and Diego carrasco can be counted. Others who took part include Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Tino di Geraldo, Guillermo Quero and Ara Malikian.

Their music combines rumbas, bulerías, tangos and seguidillas, that is, the most rhythmic palos (forms) in flamenco, alongside jazz, rock, pop, Afro rhythms and music from Zagreb (Croatia). Their perfect musical execution reaches its climax during the live record, which is addictive and explosive. This is because it appears as though Elbicho were already on a stage when they were born. Since they were formed, they offered an endless number of concerts all over Spain, and they also regularly attend all sorts of festivals.

Band members:
Miguel Campello. Voice.
Víctor Iniesta. Guitar.
Carlos Tato. Bass.
David Amores. Percussion.
Toni Mangas. Drums.
Juan Carlos Aracil. Flute.
Pepe Andreu. Trumpet.
