The journalist and musicologist Carlos Galilea writes in the booklet that comes with this double CD that nobody knows how Chano was able to blend jazz and flamenco. The fact is that he managed to do this “by picking at his piano like a miner”. This compilation album is a good example of this, which features his piano surrounded by jazz greats, and in which he enjoys the special participation of Tomatito, Enrique Morente, Tomasito and Marta Valdés.
