"Raíz Flamenca" constitutes a journey through Enrique de Melchor's oeuvre, at the same time as it presents four new creations of his.
The record begins with four new songs that were composed by Enrique de Melchor himself, and continues with eight more pieces that have been drawn from his earlier records with Fonomusic. The old themes, which were composed by the guitarist as well, have been re-mastered.
Bulerías, fandangos, alegrías, seguiriyas, colombianas, rumbas and tangos by a first-rate guitarist with lots of flamenco roots. This record features guest appearances by a large number of artists: José Mercé, Guadiana, Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, manzanita, Tino de Geraldo, Antonio Reyes and Antonio Carmona "Habichuela", among others.
