The only Spanish original soundtrack ever to be nominated for an international award. Although it didn´t win the award in this category, it figured among the finalists of the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards in 1984. The music alternates guitar playing by Paco de Lucía with fragments of the opera “Carmen” by Bizet, in a version with arrangements by Regina Resnik and Mario del Mónaco.
