Much awaited second part to "Lágrimas Negras", a huge hit of Latin-flamenco fusion, a the album that shot Diego El Cigala to fame, with a million copies sold in 2003.
"Dos Lágrimas" follows the flamenco and Latin American music line of the previous album. Boleros, chachachá, copla and tango. Cover versions of 11 classic tracks.
The main difference is the list of musicians. In this case El Cigala isn’t joined by Bebo Valdés, who is replaced by Guillermo Rubalcaba, another veteran Cuban artist.
The rest of the set is made up by Richard Galliano on accordion, Reinaldo Creagh (vocalist of the Vieja Trova Santiaguera), Manuel Machado on trumpet, Yelsy Heredia on double bass, Jaime Calabuch on piano, and the percussion of Changuito, Tata Güines and Sabú Porrina, and Diego del Morao on flamenco guitar.
In addition, the book features 72 pages (in Spanish) with an interview with the artist Juan Cruz, anecdotes, song lyrics and dedications to Calamaro and Paco de Lucía.
The first part of "Dos Lágrimas","Lágrimas Negras", sold nearly a million copies since its release in 2003. This record, a highpoint in latino-flamenco fusion, launched Diego El Cigala. Thanks to all of this, the continuation is set to be one of the most awaited albums of the season.
