This record includes themes that were sung by José Mercé in his albums recorded between 1977 and 1994. In them, he appears in the midst of a large number of flamenco artists among whom cantaores, guitarists and bailaores can be found: Enrique de Melchor, Menual Parrilla, Luis Habichuela, Antonio Reyes, Antonio Ramos, Juañares and Ramón Porrina, among others.

The record includes a booklet which features the transcription of the song lyrics.
