In his youth, Rancapino (Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, 1945), shared childhood adventures with Camarón de la Isla, with whom he also used to sing in the Venta de Vargas. In this documentary, Rancapino talks of Camarón and Manolo Caracol, “the best cantaor (flamenco singer) that flamenco has ever had”, and of his characteristic hoarse voice, of the flamenco public, and of how gypsy families live. Canela de San Roque (San Roque, Cádiz, 1947), Alejandro Segovia Camacho, is a relative of Perico Montoya and the Jarritos, and shares the set in the discussion group with the actor Juan Luis Galiardo, who is also from San Roque. After looking over his beginnings and remembering his family environment, Canela de San Roque talks of the greatness and variety in the singing of soleares and flamenco.
