Antonio and Rafael Lorca are two brothers who have extremely different characters. Antonio left the family's farmhouse to embark upon a career as a professional singer, whereas Rafael has stayed with his parents to take care of their fields and cattle. Following his latest great success in Buenos Aires — and after several years in which he did not contact his family—, Antonio returns to Spain when Rafael is preparing his wedding with Carmen, who Antonio has always been in love with.
This is the last feature film whose protagonist was Antonio Molina, and it included a vast selection of singers and dancers. Apart from Rafael Farina, the film's other protagonist, PUENTE DE COPLAS also involves appearances by Porrina de Badajoz, Maruja Baena, Ezpeleta de Cádiz, Loli Zori, Paquita Sadorni, Margarita García Bueno, Perla Morena, Eugenio de Badajoz, María Luisa and the guitarista Niño Ricardo.
