This volume is devoted to fandangos. "It is a very old dance. It is essentially a dance for couples with some turns that are characteristic of gallant dances, with an sense of Spanish dance and living movement about it. This palo (flamenco form) has numerous variations which have a different cadence and rhythm, even in neighbouring villages. These variations are known as local modes".
