Rito y geografía del baile Vol. 9 (The rituals and geography of flamenco dancing Vol. 9)
Content: 1 DVD
Year of publication: 2003

Length: 75 minutes.
Multisystem DVD, compatible with PAL and NTSC systems. Valid for use in any country.

The first part, entitled 'The recognition of flamenco theatre', features the dancer/bailaor and choreographer Antonio Ruiz 'Antonio' dancing his creation, the martinetes for dancing, which he talks about afterwards. The important dancer/bailaora and choreographer Pilar López can also be seen performing, and she talks of her sister La Argentinita, and dances siguiriyas. This section is closed by Antonio Gades, who dances farrucas and talks about gypsy and 'payo' (non-Gypsy) dancing.

In 'Aires de los Gabrieles', the temperamental bailaora Carmen Mora performs tarantos and tangos. To finish things off, she delights us with her particular version of the caña, and another, different, version of the taranto.
