Regardless of the system (NTSC or PAL) or zone (from 0 to 6) for which the DVDs are made, they are compatible with any kind of DVD player on computers, and it makes no difference whether it is a PC or a Mac.
Over a hundred leading figures of flamenco singing, guitar playing and dancing gathered once again by the Spanish director who has brought this art to the cinema screen most often. The film is set in an old railway station, and a large part of the shoot features direct sound. A narrator introduces us to the origins of flamenco and, in between light and shadow, in an enveloping atmosphere, the film runs through the different palos (forms). Bulerías, fandangos, alegrías, martinetes, rumbas... performed, among others, by Paco de Lucía, Manolo Sanlúcar, Lole y Manuel, Remedios Amaya, José Menese and Ketama.

Flamenco es emoción
Los rostros lo dibujan. Quienes cantan, bailan, tocan y escuchan el flamenco lo saben, saben que la vida recorre el cuerpo como calor, como frío, como dolor y alegría. Les mueve un sentimiento autónomo, que se contiene en un gemido cuando se encuentran la expresión externa y la experiencia propia, la sensualidad más intensa en la percepción. Algo se hace, algo hay que hacer cuando se le escucha, cuando se le vé, cuando vibran las manos sin batir palmas. El flamenco es lo espontáneo, la honestidad en la energía vital, lo generado y el cauce. La solución. Carlos Saura supo expresar la transparencia de esta fuerza con sus protagonistas: el mismo pueblo en su heterogeneidad.
¡Que fuente de belleza y conocimiento es este video! ¡Ahora mismo estoy aprendiendo el baile flamenco y esto me nutre infinitamente!

Emocionante!
He tenido la dicha de ver esta película y es increíble! Tiene una emoción y sentimiento que erizan la piel y mantienen el corazón apretao.
Un sentido estético muy fino y dedicado acompañan las coreografías y musicalizaciones que se realizan durante la filmografía.
Simplemente no hay palabras para describir la belleza y delicadeza de este film que contiene y expresa de gran manera el ser flamenco. Yo tan sólo vi parte de ella un día por televisión y quedé prendado a una emoción cada vez que siento, veo y escucho el alma flamenca.
