This work marks the completion of the trilogy by the critic and flamenco researcher Ángel Álvarez Caballero, after the two previous books which dealt with (flamenco) singing and dancing. This time, he focuses on the flamenco guitar, the facet of the "deep art" (flamenco) that has possibly been least studied to date, and which nonetheless has moved to the cutting edge of this art. His research begins with the generation that was headed by Paco de Lucena and Javier Molina, before moving on to other subsequent traditions, paying special attention to the period involving Paco de Lucía.
