Flamenco Woman pays a tribute to women and to their role within flamenco, with a vision that is genuine, close and truthful of the flamenco woman, which disregards clichés.

The record brings together 17 themes sung by 17 women from the most varied backgrounds and styles, who were born in the different historical eras of flamenco art. La Terremoto, Lola Flores, La Paquera de Jerez, Fernanda de Utrera and La Perla de Cádiz, who are already stars of female singing, alongside figures that are just beginning to dazzle, like La Susi, Esperanza Fernández, Elena Andújar or Tomasa Guerrero "La Macanita". Heterodox singing is also well represented in this record, with Aurora, Martirio and Lole Montoya.
