Paco Cepero is a living legend of flamenco guitar, who brings us his latest work at the height of his career. A very personal record, that brings together all the material composed over the last few years. "Abolengo" represents the maturity of a great artist, and returns the Cepero that we know and admire to the guitar.
This new record by Cepero, features some beautiful tracks with references to his homeland, Jerez, like the “Vendimia” (the grape harvest) and the horse fair, as well as “la Cruz Vieja” and “la Plazuela”, thanks to airs of bulerías in soleá and true bulerías from the San Miguel barrio.
Also by this virtuoso of the six strings are albums like "Azabache", "Ibiza", "Pura cepa" and "Corazón y bordón", among many more. This time featuring the singer "Elu de Jerez" who sings on a track dedicated to the Jerez fair.
His inspiration produces some surprising rondeñas and tarantas, as well as the ever-present rumba. A delicious and easy going “zapateado” (foot-tapping) is also included on this record. The record finishes off with two tracks for concert performances like the “capricho” and the “serenata”.
