This record is part of a new edition of the famous flamenco collection entitled “Series in a … style”, in which EMI and Hispavox brought together a large number of flamenco forms and styles. This new phase includes several novelty features. The catalogue has been updated to feature new artists and the graphic design is also more modern.

This volume, entitled Por Bulerías, features Remedios Amaya, Diego el Cigala, Tomatito, El Potito, Pepa de Benito, Chano Lobato, Fernanda de Utrera, Carmen Linares, Manuel Soto "Sordera", Bernarda de Utrera, Manolo Vargas, Gabriel Moreno and Pericón de Cádiz.
