The two albums by Diego El Cigala that preceded the award-winning 'Lágrimas negras', in a double CD. 'Corren tiempos de alegría' is the first recording in which he links up with the pianist Bebo Valdés and Jerry Gonzalez's trumpet. In 'Teatro Real', we find El Cigala in a more 'jondo' (deep, a term that is also used to express flamenco authenticity) live version, with Niño Josele's guitar as his only accompaniment.
