An indispensable collection to learn, get to know and enjoy flamenco guitar playing, singing and dancing. A didactic description of the different palos (forms), the off-beat, palm clapping, measure, types of accompaniment, the speed of every dance... It is ideal for academies and for anyone who wants to study flamenco in their own house. It has 23 didactic volumes: 13 are normal and 10 are double; all of them are introduced by the bailaora (flamenco dancer) Cristina Hoyos.
This volume is devoted to tientos. "It is a recent style that comes from the tango and has the same meter, although it is slightly slower, more solemn and complicated, and somewhat slower in its tercios (each of the verses that make up a copla in flamenco singing). The dance tends to be majestic, sober and very dramatised. Due to its expressiveness and the possibility that it offers to display courage, it is often finished off by mixing it up with tangos, because the guitar only needs to lighten its rhythm".
