The instep strap guarantees maximum hold with a double-face leather counter-lining in the heel and insole keep foot from slipping. Classic 5.5 cm (2.16 inch) heel. Main characteristics: Maximum quality leather lining and instep. First rate leather sole stitched to the interior of the insole guaranteeing maximum. Leather toecap. Advice from esflamenco.com: The leather is harder, so that leather shoes will be more uncomfortable, at first; it takes some time to “tame” them. Nonetheless, leather shoes tend to last longer than suede ones. The suede shoes adapt very well to the shape of the foot of the person wearing them, but they also lose their shape more quickly, and the suede may eventually start peeling off. On the other hand, some people prefer suede shoes because of their elegance.

Bulería Sabates uses the European standard size. The European Standard used
by Bulería Sabates is one size more than the traditional Spanish flamenco
standard size. E.g. a 36 in Menkes is a 37 for Bulería Sabates.

Advice from esflamenco.com: Normally, you will choose shoes with nails to dance on surfaces that are made of wood, dais, parquet or other similar materials. However, if you want them to practice at home, or if the floor in your dance school is of a terrazzo type, it will be best for you to choose shoes that don't have nails.
