He performs bulerías por soleá, soleá de Alcalá, and sings in styles including the tango, toná, liviana, seguiriya and Fandango de Manuel Torres. José de la Tomasa sings in soleá, malagueña, toná, romera, seguiriya, bulería and fandango styles. In the discussion he talks of his ancestors, of the tradition of the toná, of the Cádiz cantes (singing styles) and of the great subjects of the cante: love and death.
