Morente recounts that he knew Sabicas´ guitar playing, and his mysterious sounds, ever since he was a boy, and that he had repeatedly suggested to him to make a record together. The guitar master eventually agreed to record with the cantaor (flamenco singer) when he was already over eighty years old.
