Cantaora is the title of this record, because she is undoubtedly one of the great female performers of our age. A student of flamenco traditions, she has earned herself a place among the best in the world of singing after excelling in numerous concerts all over the world. This work opened up the doors to Europe and Japan to her. She is very well accompanied: Paco Cortés and Pedro Sierra on guitar, Chocolate de Madrid and Talegón for palm-clapping and jaleos (vocal accompaniment involving loud interjections of encouragement or admiration), Javier Barón for heel stamping and Antonio Carmona (Ketama) on the cajón (box-drum).

Our Dear Lord did nothing to create her voice. It was genetics, feeling, and practice.
