"Puertas abiertas" is the new record by Juan Peña El Lebrijano, which is the 34th in his career. On this occasion, he once again gets close to Andalusí and Arabic music after having previously recorded these genres in records like "Encuentros" and "Casablanca".
In this record, the cantaor (flamenco singer) from Lebrija is featured with accompaniment by the Moroccan violin player Faiçal Kourrich (Tangiers, 1971). Faiçal had already taken part in earlier records alongside El Lebrijano, like "Casablanca" and "Lágrimas de cera". He has also accompanied artists such as Pedro Guerra, Kepa Junquera and Gabriel Yacoub.
In the words of El Lebrijano himself, this record represents "a meeting point between our two countries, Morocco and Spain".
