The flamenco dress does not follow established formal rules, but rather, it undergoes constant innovation. Unlike what happens in the case of other traditional kinds of dresses, its shape changes constantly and, effectively, it is the only regional dress that evolves in accordance with fashion. For this reason, the pattern may vary slightly depending on the season.
Its origins date back to the old Seville livestock fair and the robes that were worn by gypsy and farmer women. As time passed by, it evolved until it became an indispensable part of the April Fair and of any other Andalusian festivity. The secret of its success certainly lies in the fact that it is a kind of dress whose cut highlights the female figure.
The dress is always accompanied by different accessories: Manila shawls, flowers in the hair, bracelets, earrings, ornamental combs both large and small, all of which are available in a wide range of colour combinations and variations that increase the dress' ability to impress.
Due to the fact that it is manufactured using craft techniques, the dress will take between 20 and 35 days to make once an order has been placed.
