After spending several years singing in the main tablaos in Barcelona, Juaneke, a gypsy who was raised in the La Mina neighbourhood in this city, launches into a recording venture, with the support of the "maestro" Chicuelo. The "duende" (magic, inspiration, or a trance-like condition that has to do with the delivery or expression of flamenco) in his performances remains intact in this recording, where the main protagonist is flamenco of pure stock, full of strength and freshness.
