Singing was a secondary factor in the art of Carmen Amaya, who was first of all a bailaora (flamenco dancer), but she certainly also used to sing with a dark and hoarse voice that was very gypsy in character, and her singing was noteworthy even though it was of a rather light nature. This record collects some of Carmen Amaya´s recordings in which she sings and dances, accompanied by the guitars of José and Paco Amaya.
