The Nuevos Medios record label has retrieved and re-mastered some recordings by La Niña de los Peines that capture the reality of flamenco. The great cantaora (female flamenco singer), who is acknowledged by all flamenco artists, is featured with guitar accompaniment by Melchor de Marchena, Niño Ricardo and Manolo de Badajoz.
It includes a booklet containing the lyrics of the songs in the record, previously unreleased photographs and a brief biography by Manuel Bohórquez.

Lo mejor del cante flamenco de todos los tiempos.Tradiciòn y conocimiento profundo de los cantes fundamentales; innovaciòn, personalidad y renovaciòn. Incursiòn en la poesìa culta. Gracia y majestad. Apertura mental hacia los estilos de ida y vuelta y hacia lo novedoso. Destacadìsima intèrprete en todo lo que cantò ( que fue muchìsimo).Enciclopèdica. Reina de la jondura (sin necesidad de las fantochadas de tanto cantaor actual que cree que para cantar jondo hay que gritar), lirismo, gracejo segùn lo que se cantara.Grandìsima capacidad melismàtica,ama y señora de la melodìa. Dueña absoluta del cante a compàs. ENORME. Si a algunos grandìsimos cantaores le dieron la llave del cante, a ella debieran haberle dado todas las cerrajerìas del universo

Pure Lightning
Sublime. There is nothing between her voice and the emotions she feels. Every time I hear Pastora sing, it only takes hearing her voice for something to open up deeply in me and experience the profound emotions she conveys. Pure lightning that reaches into the soul. She is the standard for everyone else.
