This record is part of a new edition of the famous flamenco collection entitled “Series in a … style”, in which EMI and Hispavox brought together a large number of flamenco forms and styles. This new phase includes several novelty features. The catalogue has been updated to feature new artists and the graphic design is also more modern.

This volume, entitled Por Tangos, features Remedios Amaya, Juana la del Revuelo, Carmen Linares, Enrique Morente, Tomatito, Manuel Soto Sordera, Fernanda de Utrera, Juan el de La Vara, Gabriel Moreno, Chocolate, Chato de la Isla and Perla de Cádiz.
