In this documentary, José Cortés Jiménez “Pansequito” (La Línea de la Concepción, 1946) and Santiago Donday (Cádiz, 1932) perform their songs and talk about their beginnings, their artistic trajectory and anecdotes from their lives. “Pansequito” talks about when he was only 15 and the great Manolo Caracol heard him sing and hired him for his tablao Los Canasteros, as well as more recent times, when he was already firmly established and recognised for his recordings. Furthermore, he highlights the importance of lyrics in cante (flamenco singing), the musical richness of soleares and how difficult it is to sing bulerías properly. Santiago Donday speaks of his fear of dedicating himself fully to showbusiness, of the forge as a school for the meter, of pure singing and of the old cantaores: Rosa La Papera, El Mellizo and Antonio Guerrero.
