In this record Enrique Morente begins to do something that will become a habit later in his career: he sets the verses of cultivated poets like Al Mutamid, San Juan de la Cruz, Lope de Vega, Machado, guillén and others to music. On this occasion, with the accompaniment of the guitar playing by Parrilla de Jerez and Perico "El del Lunar", Morente draws inspiration from the verses of Miguel Hernández, the poet from the Generación de 27 (Generation of 1927) and author of Perito en Lunas and El Rayo que no Cesa.
