Remastered for the occasion by Duncan Cowell (ACE Records), Nuevos Medios reedits one of the most emblematic pieces from its catalogue.
"Blues de la Frontera" (1987) frontmaned by the brothers Rafael and Raimundo Amador, was to become one of the most celebrated fusions of the "beat" flamenco, with the varied musical influences of these two geniuses of "young flamenco".
Produced by Ricardo Pachón it was a turning point in the evolution of fusion flamenco and the more important flamenco styles. A true gem.
"Blues de la Frontera" is usually named amongst the best Spanish pop albums and its impact is difficult to describe.
The Amadors were flamenco artists that were heavily influenced by blues, jazz and reggae and they made a whole generation proud of their cultural heritage.
