This was the second album I'd heard of Paco, and I was introduced to it while I was in Almeria in 1970.It was, and still is, a milestone in the art of recorded toque. His first album with Ricardo Modrego is also a classic,aligned with the great Sabicas and Escudero album on Montilla.Like all great art you can hear it forever,and never get too much of it!

'AMAZING AT THAT AGE'
It really is amazing how well Paco was playing at that very young age. It is very audible who his big idols were by listening to this recording. You can hear alot of the Sabas style Nino Ricardo and Mario. I unfortunately had not discovered Paco's recordings yet though I was 15 years old back then and loved flamenco and played the guitar since I was about 11. My big idols back then were Juanito Serrano, Sabicas, Victor Monje Serranito and Manolo Sanucar. I ofcuarse got into Paco later and other younger guitarists that followed him. It is an album to treasure this one, I have almost everything Paco's ever recorded on 33 rpm or on cds. This has got to be one of the most important recordings Paco ever made and It's one of my favorites that anybody has ever made. Sincerely Teddy.
