Chambao is one of the most popular flamenco-fusion bands, both in Spain and in a large number of countries worldwide. "Pokito a poko", which was released in 2005, is their third record. Now comes the release of "Chambao puro", a DVD that was recorded live and features their music, their hits and the unique style of this band from Málaga.
"Chambao puro" captures the essence of Chambao and is 100% Chambao. It is a DVD that features a concert that was recorded live in the Castillo de Soheil (Fuengirola, Málaga) on 30 September. It also includes the "making of" the concert, with interviews and shots from the preparation of the concert.
"Chambao puro" comprises 18 songs and plenty of surprises. It includes the most symbolic themes from their two latest albums ("Pokito a poko" and "Endorfinas en la mente"), which have taken the band to the Spanish best selling records' list: "Playas de Barbate", "Ahí estás tú", "Te la creio tú" and "Roé por la escalera", among others.
The concert also features guest appearances, such as Chambao with Bebe, the winner of the 2005 Latin Grammy for the Revelation Artist, with Miguel Campello, the singer of Elbicho, and with Antonio Carmona, a member of Ketama.
